According to analysts, the hostile Ministry of Defense made it clear that now protection against Ukrainian blows in the waters would allegedly strengthened. In this regard, large personnel permutations could be accepted. The position of Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu is that they write in ISW to attribute all merits if the fleet becomes safer and the ships will stop sinking. Another scenario will be guilty of other commanders who have held management positions the day before.
Separate analysts recalled that the strikes of the Ukrainian side in the Black Sea actually forced the Black Sea Fleet to move from the main base in Sevastopol to other objects. In particular, it is about Novorossiysk, where Russian ships are now based. As of the beginning of February this year, at least 33% of warships were displayed, as stated at the Center for Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Stratko). It's 24 ships and one submarine.
Subsequently, the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoiga visited the command post of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, where he listened to reports on the effective actions of Ukraine in the sea and set the task to conduct daily exercises to repel beats. In particular, it is about installing additional weapons in the form of large caliber systems and machine guns. This is all supposed to increase the defense.
