Some took it as a breakthrough, but in reality it was a show of presence and a renewed strength, which was greatly facilitated by the weather conditions.
Later, the same "motobikers", who seemed defiant in the video, found themselves among the wreckage of their own equipment after well-aimed strikes by Ukrainian forces. However, the situation in the city and on the approaches to it remains difficult. Currently, the Russian troops have significantly increased the pressure on Pokrovsk, using the thick fog as a cover for the movement of equipment and infantry.
At the same time, experts note that the key factor in the advance is not weather conditions, but the significant advantage of Russian forces in this direction. Pokrovsk is one of the key logistics hubs of Donetsk region, located on important road and railway routes. Battles for the city have been going on for over a year, and the potential loss of this settlement could significantly impair Ukraine's defense capabilities in adjacent areas.
