Russia can hit the outskirts of Kyiv with anti-aircraft missiles, - people's deputy (video)

Share: People's deputy from "Servant of the People" Vasyl Mokan emphasized that the Russians are constantly modernizing their aerial bombs, trying to increase the range of their use. Jet UAVs flying at a distance of about 200 km can theoretically hit the outskirts of Kyiv.

People's deputy Vasyl Mokan announced this on the air of the "Superposition" program and stated that the use of anti-aircraft missiles by Russia in Odesa region, as well as the hitting of aerial bombs in Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Poltava district and Lozova in Kharkiv region, had already been recorded. "They are constantly working on modernizing the long-range of this type of weapon (KABs - ed. ) And I will tell you that the capital region can potentially be at risk," Mokan said.

According to Ukrainian sources, new modules of KABs bring the range of strikes to more than 200 km. Theoretically, according to the people's deputy, this makes it possible to impress the outskirts of Kyiv as well - from the nearest point of Bryansk region to Troyeschyna, it is approximately 190 km. In September-October, Russia established serial production of guided modules (UMPK) for bombs. The UMPK makes the UAVs more maneuverable and harder to intercept.

They are less visible than drones, cheaper than missiles and very destructive, but less accurate. "While it is not known about the accuracy and resistance of the new modules to EW — the old methods of rejecting CABs may not work," Mokan noted. At the time of publication of the material, the command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not comment on the possible threat of air defense missile strikes on the Kyiv region.

We will remind you that on the afternoon of October 24, the new Russian air defense system arrived in Odesa region for the first time. The port city of Pivdenne was probably the target. At least, the command of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported at 1:30 p. m. on Friday that the bomb was flying over the Black Sea in the direction of this settlement.

"During today's air attack, the Russian army for the first time used guided aerial bombs against the civilian infrastructure of our region. This is a new serious threat to Odesa. Such strikes pose a colossal danger to people and can cause significant destruction," said the head of the regional administration Oleg Kiper. Earlier in the fall, rocket-propelled grenade attacks were recorded in Dnipropetrovsk region, Poltava region, Kharkiv region and Mykolaiv region.
