The recently elected Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo said he would not support Ukraine's military assistance.
According to him, the Slovak army should think about its own ammunition reserves and weapons. Robert Fitzo also expressed his opinion with the European Union leaders that a package of 50 billion euros for Ukraine should be provided with mandatory guarantees that will make fraud or misuse of funds.
Recall that Fitzo recently emphasized that he has no intention of maintaining "no sanctions" in respect of Russia under the European Union, until the potential consequences of these sanctions for EU member states are evaluated. He reported this during a speech to the members of the Parliamentary Committee on European Affairs before the leaders of Brussels. On October 5, Focus reported that the President of Slovakia opposed a new help of assistance to Ukraine.
