The contract covers not only the interceptors themselves, but also related equipment for both the United States and for 17 partner countries that already use the Patriot system. "The recent PAC-3 MSE fighting has confirmed that this system is indispensable for the United States and their allies around the world. Within this contract, we will supply a record number of interceptors for several years," Reynolds said. As part of the Lockheed Martin agreement, it plans to put more than 600 interceptors in 2025, increasing the production rate by almost two years earlier.
Earlier it was reported that the company enters the level of 650 missiles per year by 2027, but now the opportunity to increase capacity to 750 units per year is now being considered. The estimated cost of one rocket is conditional, $ 4. 9 million. The growth of production, as noted in Defense News, is due to the desire to significantly replenish the arsenal of rockets against the background of war in Ukraine and conflicts in the Middle East.
