Russia has only two landfills to run medium -range ballistic missiles: Details

Ukrainian intelligence believes that Russia can launch medium -range ballistic missiles only from "cabbage ravine" and "Plesetsk". Russia's armed forces are capable of launching medium range ballistic missiles from only two landfills. About this, as Babel writes, in response to a request was reported in the MOV General Directorate.

The Russians can start medium range ballistics, that is, from 1000 to 5500 km, from the 4th state central interspecific landfill of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation "Kapbin Yar" in the Astrakhan region. Also, these capabilities are included in the 1st state testing space "Plesietsk" in the Arkhangelsk region. In addition, GUR noted that based on the experience of manufacturing intercontinental ballistic missiles "Yars", in the year Russia can produce up to 25 missiles.

4 HCMP was created in 1946 to test the first Soviet ballistic missiles. The landfill area is about 650 km². According to open data, at least 11 nuclear explosions were conducted at the landfill, the total capacity of which is approximately 65 atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima. In addition to nuclear tests, 24,000 managed missiles were blown up there, 177 samples of military equipment were tested, and 619 RSD-10 missiles were destroyed.
