In order to have a better position during the summit, the Ukrainian leadership tries to hold it as soon as possible until power in the United States has changed. The journalists said that the plan followed the first summit, which took place in Switzerland in June 2024 and was attended by representatives of more than 90 countries.
"Russia was not invited, several states have sent delegations of lower level, and the attempt of Kiev to attract the key countries of the global south to their side has failed, as some refused to sign the final statement," the article reads. At the same time, some American officials who have communicated with the publication doubt that the summit with the participation of Ukraine and Russia will take place at all.
