Mobilization in Ukraine: In which cases can women be called to the ranks of the Armed Forces (video)

Lawyer Daria Tarasenko noted that the new law on mobilization does not regulate the issue of departure of women abroad, but she suggests that changes are possible. On May 18, 2024, the Law on Mobilization No. 10449, which changed certain provisions on mobilization procedures, came into force. Whether changes in the norms governing the military registration of military personnel were touched on, the lawyer of the lawyers of Poltava Darya Tarasenko says in his own Facebook.

First, the lawyer emphasized, the rules concerning the military accounting of women have not changed-those who have medical or pharmaceutical education must be registered with the CCC and JV. At the same time, Tarasenko emphasized, this should be done independently whether women with such education have experience in profession. Secondly, the requirement of renewing personal data is subject to conscious women.

Third, the conscription of women to the Armed Forces, even under the condition of martial law, is possible only with their consent, which was not in the previous version of the Law on Mobilization. "And this means that the forced conscription of women is impossible," the lawyer explained. Concerning the crossing of the border, Tarasenko noted that the new law on mobilization does not regulate the issue of traveling women abroad. However, it suggests that changes are possible.
