However, the specific characteristics of the system were not revealed. The propagandists only hinted at its "supernatural" properties. For example, the complex was attributed to the possibility of causing unusual atmospheric phenomena.

However, now the Russian Federation has decided to reveal the purpose of the “Peresivet”. According to the Russian media, the complex was created to prevent the development of intercontinental ballistic missiles of nuclear weapons. Its main task is to blind the laser beam intelligence satellites in orbit. The apparatus is stated - from 200 to 1100 kilometers. According to experts, such a sharp change in rhetoric raises questions.

It is especially noteworthy that the Russians talked about it against the background of long fighting in the Kursk region, although according to them, the complex is not intended for counteraction to UAV. Russian propagandists have also stated that laser development of other countries is almost at the infancy. Examples mentioned the British Dragon Fire system and Israeli Iron Feast.

The Russian Federation also reported that work is underway in this direction, although, according to experts, the PRC can significantly ahead of Russia.
