Threatens up to 8 years: Pole helped the Russian Federation plan a possible attempt on the life of Zelensky

The task of the Russian agent also included collecting data on the situation with the security of the Rzeszow-Synok Airport. Polish law enforcement officers in cooperation with the Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office and the Security Service detained a citizen of Poland, suspected of cooperation with intelligence of the Russian Federation to plan an attempt on President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. He faces up to 8 years in prison. The National Prosecutor's Office of Poland reported this on April 18.

Investigators found that the suspect stated his willingness to act in favor of military intelligence of the Russian Federation. His task was to collect data on the situation with the security of the Rzeszow-Yanish Airport. It was, among other things, to help Russian special services to plan a possible attempt on the life of Zelensky. "During the investigation into legal assistance, key evidence was obtained from the Ukrainian side," the message reads.

Due to the need to ensure the proper course of the proceedings, the prosecutor's office appealed to the District Court of Warsaw with a request for a precautionary measure in the form of temporary arrest. The investigation is ongoing. The Security Service of Ukraine and the Office of the Prosecutor General together with the law enforcement agencies of Poland were able to expose the Russian agent. He offered hostile intelligence services attempting to Ukrainian president.
