The Russian Federation demanded to move the 2024 Olympics from Paris through the statements of the mayor of the capital of France

The Olympic Committee of the Russian Federation accused Paris of allegedly incorrect attitude towards Russian athletes. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is supposed to decide to postpone games in 2024 from France to another country because of the statement of Mayor of Paris Anna Idalgo that they do not want to see Russian and Belarusian athletes in the city. Stanislav Pozdnyakov wrote this president of the Olympic Committee of Russia (OCD) in his Telegram.

In particular, Russia was outraged by the absence of an IOC reaction to the statement of the mayor. At the same time, the Kremlin supporter emphasized that Moscow does not understand why the Russian Federation has accused Paris's power of improper preparation for the Olympics. "In general, if the organizer is not ready for admission athletes licensed to participate in competitions, the International Olympic Committee should at least make a decision to transfer games to another place.

However, there are no comments on the IOC's management at all. Mrs. Idalgo. Silence should be regarded as the transfer of powers to holding the Games of Vlad Paris, who has the right to determine who they are glad and who is not? " - said Pozdnyakov. At one time, the former owner of the title of world champion in the heavyweight weight Mykola Valuyev severely criticized the French through the words of Ann Idalgo.

In addition, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova with the words "another such statement . . . " was criticized by the mayor of Paris. We will remind that on August 14, 2023 the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal expressed the hope that Russian and Belarusian athletes will not be allowed to participate in the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
