No one in the world should remain alone with the enemy of freedom, which makes its weapon ecocide and threatens a radiation disaster - the President's appeal to the University Community of Argentina

And where we can be-in any country, on any continent-everywhere freedom is valued equally. Freedom everywhere is either already or is the highest value. Because it is in the nature of humans. You get an education and it will make you more free than you were to university. You will build a career and it will make you more free than you will be after university. Anything in a person's life can be measured in this way-on a scale of freedom. And the same - in the life of every country.

There is no real life in the country if it is deprived of freedom if it is conquered by military force or political pressure or economic manipulation. And it is always happiness - even when it is not realized - if the country has real freedom. This Sunday, Argentina will celebrate its Independence Day. And though a little in advance, but from all my heart I congratulate you on your day and wish you, your country only more freedom to feel more freedom.

We will celebrate our Independence Day in Ukraine in the summer - August 24, but in completely different circumstances. Unfortunately, we do not see the possibility that Russia ceases its brutal colonial aggression against our country. And in order to knock out the occupiers from all our land and release from the enslavement of all our people, we need time. We never wanted this war. We did not go to the ground of any other people-Russia came to our land, burns our cities, kills, deport our people.

For us, it is a war for freedom, and so we fight, despite everything and will not give our freedom. But I want you to know that in this war the fate of not only Ukrainians decides. Much more is solved in this war. I will give one such example. This night, from July 5 to July 6, it will be exactly one month after one of the most severe Russian crimes of this war.

Exactly one month after the blasting of the dam and structures of our Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant and the destruction of the Kakhovka reservoir. It was one of Europe's largest reservoirs, and now it is just a withered mule. Russia occupied the Kakhovsky hydroelectric power plant at the beginning of a full -scale war. She fully controlled it - every building, a dam, absolutely everything. Last year, we warned the world that the invaders were replacing the dam.

Such information was in intelligence. And this, unfortunately, turned out to be true. Russia needed to blast the dams to give this catastrophe - just imagine it! - simplify control of part of our occupied territory. Dozens of flooded cities and villages, killed people, nature is destroyed . . . The largest ecocide in Europe for decades, the destruction of ecological balance on an area of ​​hundreds of thousands of hectares.

And all for what? Because the invaders were afraid of our offensive actions in these areas and wanted to protect their positions in the occupied territory. Imagine this level of cynicism and hatred of freedom that encourages such evil! Imagine, if something like this happened, God forbid, with some dam on Parana or in the limb. We now, unfortunately, even more threat.

Around the same time, when the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant was occupied, the Russian military occupied the Zaporozhye Nuclear Station. Atomic. The largest in Europe. Six units. All this time - the month after the moon - the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Station Russia uses as a cover for shelling of neighboring cities. They put artillery actually on or near the station and are fireing. Just imagine it… And now they have also replaced this nuclear power plant. And this is a fact.

For what? In Moscow, various scenarios are considered, in particular, similar to a man -made catastrophe on the Kakhovsky hydroelectric power station. That is, for the sake of cynical military purposes. But you should not even think about which script is most likely.

It is only necessary to think about how to prevent any catastrophe scenario! Ladies and Gentlemen! Dear students! No one in the world should be left alone with such an enemy of freedom that makes its weapon even a large -scale ecocide and threatens a radiation disaster! It is a challenge to the values ​​of any nation, any culture, any country.

And if such an enemy of freedom succeeds with its terror, though in the world, it will be only a matter of time when the life of the world is destroyed. Different dictatorships can be inspired by the current Russian dictatorship - its cynicism, its malice. Different terrorists can be inspired by the current Russian terror - its infinity. And any freedom on the planet will be inspired by Ukrainian freedom when we finally expel Russian invaders from our land. That is why we need your help.

The peoples and states of Latin America can make so much to protect the freedom and the right of every nation to freedom! And for this it is not even necessary to interfere with the ongoing war. It is enough to protect freedom. To protect it not only in their countries for their people, but also globally, in particular at the level of international institutions, at international summits. And it is necessary to condemn the enemies of freedom, at least who they can and any people try to enslave.

And most importantly, it is necessary to work together, all nations who respect international law, as your Mr. Rector said, that the freedom of peoples has no threats. And this is very important. Just as people in the streets and squares in unity can overthrow any dictatorship, the united world is able to neutralize any aggressor, any threat to global freedom. But for this we need to act on the protection of freedom! All together. Both Argentina and all of Latin America, all over the world.
