"Provocative Video": Several Ukrainian media complained about hacker attacks

The attackers launched a video on the channel "Espresso" with a hint of alleged involvement in the United States before the war in Ukraine. In addition, hackers tried to break the account of the journalist-investigator of the "Scheme" of Georgy Shabaev in Telegram. On Monday, February 19, unknown attackers broke the system responsible for the airtime broadcasting of the Ukrainian TV channel "Espresso". This was reported by the channel press service.

It is reported that through the actions of hackers on the air of the channel there was a video showing the footage of destroyed Ukrainian cities, as well as a video with Joseph Biden and call to stop. According to journalists, the video contains a hint of the alleged involvement of the United States before the war in Ukraine. "It is unfortunate that our viewers could see this provocative video on the air. Run in Ukraine is exclusively Russia.

This is an obvious fact that the video authors have tried to twist," the publication said. The press service also noted that the nature of the video stacked the conclusion that the hacker attack was involved in the hacker attack. The channel team has taken all the necessary safety measures and prepares a request to law enforcement agencies.

For his part, Ukrainian journalist-investigator of the Project "Scheme" Georgy Shabayev reported on his Facebook page that on Sunday, February 18, someone tried to access his Telegram account. The attackers intercepted the SMS that came to the journalist's phone number. "They introduced it correctly and almost received access to chat, but broke their teeth on two -factor authentication.

Because it was a targeted attack due to a successful interception of sms - I directly tie it with my professional activity," he said. Shabayev believes that the purpose of the attack could be access to journalistic investigations that are being prepared for publication, or information about sources of Internet edition. On the evening of February 18, a number of Ukrainian Internet media complained about cyber-attacks.

Thus, the editorial board of "Ukrainian Truth" reported the loss of access to the account on the social network X - there appeared fake information about the alleged "defeat" by the Russian invaders of elite units of the Armed Forces in Avdiivka. The Apostrophe site also collided with the work of Russian experts with IPSO and the publication of the material about "escape of the Armed Forces from standpoint, leaving equipment and wounded".

The edition of the publication stated that this material has nothing to do with reality. Similar news also appeared on the website of the "Telegraph", but after a while it was removed. The editorial board did not comment on the incident. We will remind, on January 29 it became known that hackers broke the mail of deputies of the European Parliament, which for at least 20 years reported the FSB about pro -Russian events, which she carried out in Latvia and other countries of the Baltic States.
