Ukraine will not be able to win the war in the near future - the Austrian Ministry of Defense

The head of the department Claudia Tanner stressed that in Western countries people are increasingly considering a Russian-Ukrainian war. Austrian Defense Minister Claudia Tanner said that in the near future Ukraine will not be able to regain all the territory occupied by the Russian Federation. She told this in an interview with Die Welt newspaper.

Tanner noted that the intensity of the Russian-Ukrainian war remains very high, which causes significant losses for both the Russian Federation and Ukraine. She suggested that significant offensive actions on both sides should be expected in the spring. "It is important that the West continues to support Ukraine at full force, following the sanctions and remaining as one as it was still.

The head of the Ministry of Defense of Austria also noted that its country is neutrality, so the supply of lethal weapons is maintained. At the same time from Austria, Ukraine receives field X -ray machines, helmets and heat generators. Tanner also commented on the words of the Chief of Staff of the United States Mark Millie that Ukraine has not yet been able to win the war by entering the borders of 1991.

She noted that she shares this position, adding that the Russian Federation still has many resources for fighting. "Fortunately, Ukraine has achieved very important success, but it needs to protect a huge territory. It is unclear whether the winner will once be in this war," Claudia Tanner says. According to the head of the Austrian department, Ukraine and Russia should gradually return to diplomacy.

She also stressed that some EU countries insist on the right of Ukraine to choose the time and conditions for negotiations. Tanner pointed out that European countries have provided multi -billion -dollar support to Ukraine and should know when it would be possible to talk about diplomatic settlement of the conflict.

"In this context, it should not be forgotten that the high prices for energy, the result of Putin's brutal aggressive war against Ukraine, which people in the West are increasingly considered a burden," said Claudia Tanner. Recall that Austrian Defense Minister Claudia Tanner also told how in Austria they are preparing for a possible blackout. According to her, problems with energy supply are just a matter of time.
