He gave such an assessment of the actions of the Russians during a meeting with the US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridzit Brink on Monday, August 8.

According to the Prime Minister, to prevent a nuclear catastrophe to which Russian provocations can lead to, the world must unite. "We are counting on the support of partners to stop the aggressor as soon as possible," he emphasized.

Energoatom has previously published a statement by the head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense of the Russian Federation of Major General Valery Vasilyev, who threatened that if the Russian troops have to retreat from the NPP, they will leave a "burned desert" there. It is also noted that in the General Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed that the occupiers really replaced the nuclear object.

In this regard, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk called on the world community to respond to the threats of the Russian Federation, since not only the fate of Ukraine but the entire planet is at stake. Zaporizhzhya NPP is the largest in Europe. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation captured it in the first weeks of a full -scale invasion, March 4. As a result, the staff of the power plant were hostage.
