The mayor reported an increase in the concentration of enemy troops, ammunition and military equipment in Melitopol. At the same time, the official noted the increased cases of liquidation of the invaders, in particular in the area of the settlement of Mikhailivka. With regard to defense structures, the mayor of Melitopol noted that the enemy had a lot of time to prepare for the counter -offensive of the Ukrainian army.
According to him, the invaders were dug from both Berdyansk and Kakhovka. "The enemy has built high fortifications there. I will say more, in some cases, these are underground cities that the enemy will use as their fortification structures," Ivan Fedorov said. The mayor of Melitopol also expressed confidence that the fortifications mentioned will not help Russian invaders. The official noted that the Ukrainian military and special services are well aware of the situation in the city.
It should be reminded that according to the media of August 2, preparing for the release of Melitopol from occupation, the city team develops a strategy for demining the territory.
