"American and Russian officials have identified the Arctic as a possible sphere of economic cooperation," the material reads.

At the same time, unknown sources that have reported the publication of this sphere of interests of both states, note that this may be part of the wider plans that President Trump seeks to establish relations with the Kremlin. According to one version of Bloomberg correspondents, Americans can consider collaboration in the Arctic as a way of "killing a wedge" between the Kremlin and Beijing. However, it is considered unlikely because of connections between Russia and China.

There are already conversations between the parties to investigate the capabilities of the natural resources of the Arctic, as well as possible trade routes.
