Melts enemy UAV and rockets: Israel showed the laser gun "Iron Beam"

To spread: The Israeli defense concern Rafael has developed a laser weapon of Iron Beam ("Iron Ray") intended for the destruction of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles of the enemy. The laser gun will support the Iron Dome air defense system that protects the sky above Israel. It can be used stationary or installed on a car, said Vice president Rafael Shlomo Toaf by Bild.

It is reported that the "iron beam" sends powerful laser pulses into the sky that melt metal housings of rockets or drones, disrupting them. About 100 kilowatts are enough to work for the system, which "corresponds to the medium size generator". "No one but us owns such weapons! It is a revolutionary new technology. The laser is so concentrated and powerful that it can get exactly the target of the thumb at about ten kilometers and neutralize enemy weapons," Toaf said.
