The Russian Army will receive more modernized T-90 and T-72 tanks: what improvements have been done (video)

Commenting on the information, Polish military experts in Defense 24 indicated that new tanks differ from the previous samples by a large number of dynamic protection "Contact-1/5", as well as additional means of UAV attacks.

In particular, the authors of the material drew attention to the additional modules of "contact", which were installed in the feed part of the tanks, which should significantly increase the resistance of machines to cumulative ammunition used in different types of kamikadze or anti-tank grenade launchers. Thus, the total number of dynamic protection modules was increased. In addition, the tanks were already equipped with anti -water grates or so -called "visors" from barrading ammunition.

Previously, such grilles were installed by the Russians in the field. Experts listed the main improvements in the new Russian tanks T-90m "Breakthrough". The modernization of this machine has affected all three main areas of its capabilities - fire power, protection and mobility. First of all, the new samples were installed with a smooth 125mm 2A46M-5 gun, a fire control system and a remote-controlled weapon module with a machine gun on the tower.

The body and tower are strengthened by the modular complex of dynamic protection of the third generation "Rellic". As for the power plant, the tank was equipped with a new diesel engine B-92C2 with a capacity of 1130 hp. The Russian VTT T-72B3M also undergone the same modernization.

Additional modules of the relic complex were installed on the tank, and if earlier the modules were placed in the so -called "bags", then taking into account the experience of hostilities, the mounting has changed - now the modules are installed with bolts. The power plant remained the same as on T-72B3, and is a diesel engine B-92C2F with a capacity of 1130 hp.
