So, in the video, a client girl who came to the bakery made a remark of the staff that Russian music was playing in the premises of the establishment and began to film it. "You have no right to shoot," the saleswoman said. To which the girl replied that in Ukraine there is a language law that provides customer service in the state language, and she does not understand what the employee tells her. Subsequently, after publishing the video on the network, a video appeared with apologies to the saleswoman that she was regretting, refusing to serve the client in the state language. "This will not happen again," she said. It should be reminded that on January 16, 2021 Article 30 of the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as a State" came into force. It provides consumer service and providing information about goods and services in the Ukrainian language.

The requirement of the law on the state language applies not only to trade. It is also about educational services, health care, social services, etc. At the request of the client, his / her personal service may be carried out in another language acceptable to both parties. In Odessa, they fined the cashier of the EVA shopping network for moving with the client to Russian at his request. The amount of the fine was 3 400 UAH.
