To spread: On Tuesday, July 22, about 200 protesters gathered in the center of Berlin against the speech of Russian opera singer Anna Netrebko. The protesters accused the artist of supporting Vladimir Putin and demanded to ban her concert. The protest took place on the gendarmemarkt square, where the odious artist performed as part of the Classical Open Air Classical Music Festival. Demonstrators are placed with posters about three main entrances to the concert. About it writes DW.

Activists kept banners with "Nepotrebko", "Do not whiten Putin Netrebko's supporter. Make her respond to the consequences of her choice" and "How is it - to be a fan of genocide?" The people who passed to the festival were chanted in German: "No Scene for Russian Propaganda" and "Shame. " The protest was organized by the Ukrainian NGO "Viche", which repeatedly went on actions against the speeches of the Russian singer in the German capital.

The representative of the Visitberlin Tourist Office Christian Tenzler refused to give a political assessment of the event: "This is Classic Open Air is an important tourist event in our cultural calendar. No more and no less. This is the only statement we can make. " Despite the protests, the concert took place with sold tickets. People gathered even near the fence to listen to the singer's performance. Visitors refused to communicate with journalists, and some of them were even indignant.
