In the summer of 2025, Ukraine will have its winged and ballistic missiles

Alexey Petrov, Director of Special Technoexport, reported that he had already been present during the flight tests of the first samples. Ukraine takes significant steps in creating its own arsenal of winged and ballistic missiles, which may appear at the disposal of defense forces by mid -2025. Alexei Petrov, director of the state enterprise "Specialtechnoexport", in an interview for OBOZ. ua. Petrov noted that the country is actively moving in this direction, including the private sector.

According to him, it was wise to remove the monopoly on the rocket industry, which made it possible to accelerate the development process. "I think that our missiles already, say, winged and ballistic, we will have until the middle of 2025. I saw the test until only flight, but the results are," Petrov said. In addition to the missile program, other types of weapons are developing in Ukraine, including the production of 155 mm caliber shells according to NATO standard.

These ammunition ensures effective fighting at favorable distances. However, despite its progress, the country cannot completely abandon the Soviet ammunition. Petrov emphasized the need to continue the production of artillery shells of 152 mm and 122 mm, which remain extremely relevant on the battlefield. "A 152 mm caliber shot, which flies for 30 km, is extremely necessary, as well as 122 mm.

They are in a constant shortage, because in large numbers they were used in large numbers of defense forces," Petrov added. Today, the winged and ballistic missiles of Western production are in the arsenal of the Defense Forces. Among them are the inconspicuous winged Storm Shadow missiles and their French version of Scalp-EG. These missiles are equipped with a fighting unit of 450 kg, which includes an initial penetrating charge designed to destroy the fortified objects.

The export option has a range up to 250 km, but some versions are able to overcome up to 560 km. In addition, the United States handed over the Ballistic missiles of ATACMS to Ukraine. The Block 1 modification is equipped with a cassette combat part of 950 tungsten elements of the M74 lesion, each with a radius of 15 m. Later, versions of Block 1a with a reduced combat part were delivered, which made it possible to increase range to 300 km.
