The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense Illarion Pavliuk emphasizes that just over 18,000 people hold civilian positions, and more than 40 thousand are actually a military personnel. More than 5 thousand are performed directly in the war zone. Since the beginning of the full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine has increased significantly the number of women in the army. Currently, more than 60,000 servicemen are serving in the Armed Forces.

This was stated by the head of the Department of Press and Information of the Ministry of Defense Illarion Pavliuk on the air of a single telecommunication. "If you take a longer segment from the time of a full -scale invasion, the number of women in the army has significantly grown. To date, more than 60,000 in the armed forces," Pavlyuk stressed. According to him, just over 18,000 women are occupied by civilian positions, and more than 40,000 are actually a military personnel.

In addition, Pavlyuk added that more than 5 thousand are performed directly in the war zone. "That is, it is significantly more than we had a full -scale invasion," said the head of the Ministry of Defense. We will remind, on Tuesday, December 19, during a press conference with journalists President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that a document that will provide for the conscription of women, he is not going to sign.

On December 18, the People's Deputy from Voice Inna Sovsun stated that women can start mobilizing women in Ukraine if necessary for defense. According to her, this issue should be resolved for defense reasons, and the initiative itself should come from the Supreme Commander or Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces.
