Russian spies under the guise of refugees from Ukraine got to Romania for sabotage - media

Russian spies tried to find out information on national and multinational exercises, the presence of allies in the national territory, equipment and equipment provided, as well as assistance to Ukraine. Russian spies found themselves in Romania under the assignment of refugees from Ukraine. This is stated in the report of the High Council of National Defense (CSAT), G4Media reports.

The spies of the Russian Federation, as stated in the documents, were rooted in the ranks of Ukrainian refugees, since it was difficult to distinguish between Romania by the authorities of Romania who escapes from the war and who did not pursue other goals. They recorded attempts by the spy network "to receive extremely important data" regarding the assistance that Romania provided to Ukraine. She also wanted to get information about military training in the Romanian territory.

The report contains examples of misinformation campaign, in particular, regarding the Romanian army and country leaders. In the High Council of Romania National Defense, many vulnerability suffered by the state as a result of Russian spies. Among them is an increase in the number of military incidents, cyberattacks from Russia and sabotage of supplying assistance to Ukraine. CSAT is headed by the President of the State and who coordinates Romania's defensive policy.

The report describes the details of the activity for 2023 in detail the main goals of "hostile" special services, in particular: they did not exclude possible attacks or sabotage of Russians on military transports intended for Ukraine or domestic technical production facilities and equipment.
