"Risk of propaganda of the Russian Federation": Derzhkino opposes the show "Deaf in love" in Estonia

The Ukrainian Cinema Agency believes that the demonstration of Russian films "carries a risk of propaganda" to justify aggression and may be part of the Russian information strategy. Derzhkino of Ukraine appealed to the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (Pöff) to exclude the movie "Deaf in love" by Russian director Boris Gutz from Standing with Ukraine. This is stated in the application of the Ukrainian institution on Facebook.

Derzhkino thanked the Pöff leadership for the opportunity to "present Ukrainian films at the festival", but it was concerned that the program was included in the program about the love of Russian and Ukrainka. Derzhkino was asked to review the appropriate decision to include this tape as part of Standing with Ukraine.

"Given the aggression of Russia against Ukraine and the numerous suffering of the Ukrainian people, it is especially important to ensure that cultural platforms do not become tools for films that blur the borders of understanding the reality of Ukrainians. We are deep which justifies aggression and may be part of the information strategy of the aggressor, " - stated in the statement to Derzhkino.

The description of the film by Russian director Boris Guts Deaf Lovers ("Deaf Lovers") stated that she tells about the romantic relations of the Ukrainian refugee and Russian, who were met in Istanbul in Ukraine in Ukraine. Both have hearing impairments and "seek closeness". The author of the Mikhkel Molman's Dark Nights Festival has called the "Deaf Lovers" tape "The Best Film of Recent Years About War and Love.

" In his description, Miolman notes in it "worthy of a trifle and a soundtrack that actively supports the plot. " "However, everything is not as easy as it seems at first glance: a girl from Ukraine, and a guy from Russia, and somewhere there is a war. that "love wins everything". Generalization that "cannot be deaf and silent before the war. " The author of the program notes that more than one generation of humanity will pass before "social memory is darkened and stops interfering with love.
