The representative of the Belarusian General Staff claims that Belarus, among other things, is almost a leader in the field of electronic warfare. Colonel Viktor Tumar Ponom, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, Victor Tumar Ponomy declared the development of laser weapons by domestic experts. The officer emphasized that the country should be "only his, Belarusian".

The loud statements of the colonel were quoted on April 24 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus. Tyamar spoke about priority security areas not only for Belarusian forces, but also for the so -called CIS countries. According to the commander, there is an exhibition of the main achievements of the Bellorussian Armed Forces Research Institute in the country, which already presents results in the field of weapons that ensure security at the strategic level.

The colonel claims that Belarus is almost a leader in the radio electronic struggle, as well as in the development of radar systems for the detection of various objects.
