A documentary about Russian deported children was presented in Kiev

In Kiev, a documentary about Russia's deported children after the Rain was presented: Putin's Stolen Children Come Home ("After the Rain: Putin's stolen children return home"). The presentation, in particular, was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Mariana Betz and Operational Director of the Presidential Bring Kids Back UA, adviser to Presidential Head Dariy Zarivna.

This is a movie about Ukrainian children who have survived the deportation to the Russian Federation and efforts to reintegrate them after returning. The main characters are Oleksandra Mezhev and Veronica Vlasov, who managed to return home. “The stories we have seen in this movie are the reason for creating Bring Kids Back UA initiative. It is also the answer to the question of what our mission looks like.

Thousands of children still remain in the occupied territories, in Russian institutions, under the influence of Russian propaganda. And it is such films that help you talk about it with the whole world, ”Daria Zarivna said. The guests of the event were addressed by the Commissioner for the Embassy of the United Kingdom Charlotte Suren and directed by Sarah McCarthy's tape.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps, the human rights community, government institutions and the authors of the film also participated in the event. Thousands of young Ukrainians are still under the control of the Russian Federation. As of today, Bring Kids Back UA has managed to return 1324 children. “The actions of the Russian Federation are a systematic policy of genocide that it implements against Ukraine.
