There is no sense: the West spoke about attacks and flights in the F-16 territory of

According to military experts, the task of strikes in the Russian territory is a risky mission, in particular for the fourth generation aircraft. NATO Member State allowed Ukraine to attack the territory of Russia with the use of F-16 fighter jets. Military analysts are feared that this may not be the best option for them. This is stated in Business Insider.

According to George Barros, a military expert from the Institute of War, now the use of American fighter jets for strikes in Russia "does not have great military sense. " "Because the deeper you penetrate into Russia and the closer you are approaching the border, the more dangerous it is to fly, and it is more likely that you will lose high quality equipment and prepared pilots, which are not easy to replace," he said.

At the same time, Barros believes that in the future, in particular after the appearance of more aircraft, Ukraine will inevitably take advantage of this opportunity, but "now we do not have such a situation. " The retired maritime infantry colonel and a defense strategy expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies Mark Kanzian believes that the F-16 "will be kept away from the front line in order to avoid the Russian air defense zone.

" The UK Royal Aviation Aviation Aviation Society Tim Robinson believes that the F-16 can be useful when defeating targets in the Russian territory, but beyond the reach for the fourth aircraft. The expert does not exclude that Ukraine, after receiving them, wants to guarantee that "they will not lose them immediately. " A similar opinion was expressed by a researcher at the Asian Institute of Griffit and a former officer of the royal Air Force of Australia Peter Leiton.

It is noted that, according to analysts, Ukraine needs to be more cautious with their F-16, since partners will transfer them in a small number, and Kiev cannot afford to suffer huge losses. The National Security Advisor Michael Clark drew attention to the risk of reaction due to such losses or inability to ensure a major breakthrough.

He stressed that although analysts "know that the war is full of failures, the explicit failure of the F-16 will become very devastating for Ukrainians from a political point of view. " With this in mind, Clarks said, most likely, Ukrainians will first use the F-16, until they become more confident. Considering this, experts doubt that the F-16 will be used for combat departments to Russia, since even flights over the occupied Russian territory will be extremely dangerous.

According to the assumption of Strategist Mark Kanzian, the Ukrainian military can make "one or two deep raids on Crimea, perhaps simply for a symbolic and psychological effect. " In addition, expert Leiton acknowledged that Ukraine can take some bold actions along with risky operations already performed. However, in general, he says, flight to Russia "makes the F-16 too vulnerable.

" Analysts believe that the use of fighters will be carried out mainly for defense purposes and far from the front line, in particular for the protection of cities and infrastructure from Russian rocket and drone attacks. In addition, experts do not confidence that the F-16 will play a key role in the war themselves, while they can be very useful, filling in lost planes, holding back Russian aviation, acting as protection.
