The Armed Forces are preparing for a large operation on the left bank of the Dnieper - the General Staff of Estonia

According to Lieutenant Colonel Toomas Vyali, the Armed Forces can take advantage of the concentration of Russian forces in the Avdeevsky direction and conduct a large operation in some other place. The Armed Forces of Ukraine can take advantage of the concentration of the enemy forces in the battles near Avdiivka to carry out a large operation on the left bank of the Dnieper in the south of Ukraine.

This opinion was expressed by the Deputy Chief of Operational Management of the General Staff of Defense forces of Estonia, Lieutenant Colonel Toomas Vyali, reports Err. According to Vyali, active fighting is currently underway in the Avdeevsky direction. The forces of Ukraine's defense have held Avdiivka since 2014, they have created serious strengthening there, so the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation had before the beginning of maneuvers to realize that success is not expected there.

The lieutenant colonel noted that the offensive of the Russians in the Avdiivka area was carefully prepared. Both armored vehicles and fire support from the air were involved, but it did not help them succeed. Toomas Vyali suggests that the Armed Forces can take advantage of the concentration of Russian forces in the Avdiivsky direction and perform a large operation in some other place.

"At the moment, it can be said that the Ukrainian forces are apparently preparing for operations in the lower Dnieper in the Kherson region. They (Ed. Obviously, Ukraine is preparing to carry out more surgery in the south of Kherson. But it is too early to give evaluations. Obviously, Russia is expecting it, so it has transferred additional reserves to the region, "he said.

Also, Lieutenant Colonel Toomas Vyali doubts that the use of ATACMS missiles will help to make the Armed Forces a decisive breakthrough, as the missiles are designed to achieve the targets at a distance of 150 kilometers. "Will these missiles allow Ukraine to make a decisive breakthrough? Obviously not. A limited number of missiles does not allow you to make massive blows. This is not a 155-mm projectile, but a high-precision weapon used to defeat the most valuable objects," he added he.

According to Toomas Vyali, the Ballistic missiles of ATACMS would have caused the care of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, they would have to move aviation away from the front line. "The ability to impress targets up to 300 kilometers will force Russia to move the control points and planes further from the front line, which, in turn, will lead to the fact that they will not be able to promptly support the maneuvers of their land troops," the lieutenant colonel said.
