Russian troops are preparing a new offensive in the coming weeks when the land is freezing - isw (map)

The Ukrainian Southern Operational Command reported that Russian aviation could not operate in the south due to the deterioration of weather conditions. It is likely that Russian invaders will start a new offensive in the south and east of Ukraine when the land is freezing. This is stated in the report of the Institute of War Study (ISW). According to experts, low air temperature in Ukraine is likely to hold back active operations on the front.

At the same time, the area can be more favorable for mechanized maneuverable war, since the soil will freeze, which will allow the movement of equipment. Analysts continue to evaluate that Russian troops are likely to be tried to support or intensify local offensive operations in eastern Ukraine. The invaders seek to intercept and keep the initiative, despite the state of the area and the weather. ISW also assesses that the invading units will not be able to make significant breakthroughs.

The Ukrainian Southern Operational Command, according to the report, reported that the Russian aviation could not operate in the south of Ukraine due to the deterioration of weather conditions. Experts also drew attention to the report of the Russian blogger, who stated that frosts interfere with Russian troops to carry out land operations and move north of the willow, located in the western part of the Zaporozhye region.

Sergei Perezlagin, an alternative history theorist, according to ISW, said that the occupiers will begin a large -scale offensive operation in Ukraine approximately between January 12 and February 2. It seems to happen after the Ukrainian troops are "depleted" from the defense of their positions in Avdiivka and on the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson region. He also expressed anxiety that Russia has not enough live force to carry out large -scale offensive offenses.
