Putin's current state came as a result of some evolution. And the starting point...

Thirty years of arbitrariness. As Putin's "Bandite St. Petersburg" grew up

Putin's current state came as a result of some evolution. And the starting point, according to political scientist Viktor Nevzhenko, was the world depicted in the famous TV series "The Bandite St. Petersburg". As the "bandit of St. Petersburg" turned into "Putin Russia". Recently, the famous Russian journalist and writer Andriy Konstantinov, who came up with a vivid socio-political meme-"Bandit St. Petersburg", which was proud of the bandits and security forces of Russia, has died.

In addition to the fascinating television series "Bandite St. Petersburg", the talented author managed to show how in Russia the processes of isolation, consolidation and acquisition of the power of an illegal and criminal "deep state", which has been defining the fate of Russia for 30 years. Initially, security officers, primarily the Chekists and the police, were separated from the underdeveloped Russian state and became into a dense contradictory relationship with crime that was gaining force.

In the next stage, the Union of Security and Mafia brought to itself law, business, civil society and the media. Finally, over the last 20 years of their reign of Putin, a powerful symbiosis of the Chekists and Mafia has pulled all the living Russia. So gradually and imperceptibly, the "bandit of St. Petersburg" turned into "Putin of Russia", which has become within the limits of its self -development and was forced to "look for happiness" on the side, outside Russia.
