The Russian Federation destroys energy and gas facilities in Ukraine before winter: the consequences of massive UAV attack

To extend: On the night of August 26 to 27, during the shelling of Ukraine, the Russians beat the facilities of energy and gas transportation infrastructure. The Government of Ukraine noted that the Russian Federation deliberately destroys civilian infrastructure to leave Ukrainians without heat in winter. Under the attack of drones of the Russian Federation at night there were energy and gas transportation of the system in six regions of Ukraine.

Civil infrastructure has been destroyed in Sumy, Poltava, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya regions, the Ministry of Energy reports on the official Facebook page. In Sumy at about the first o'clock in the morning, the blow of the Russian drone damaged equipment on one of the key substations, most of the residents of the city and industrial consumers remained without electricity.

Significant damage was also caused by an hostile attack on gas transportation infrastructure in Poltava region. The assessment of the harm is ongoing. "We regard Russian attacks as a continuation of the conscious policy of the Russian Federation on the destruction of the civil infrastructure of Ukraine on the eve of the heating season. This is another act of energy terror against civilians," the Ministry of Energy said.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in the official Telegram-channel said that on the night of August 27, almost a hundred Russian unmanned aerial vehicles were beaten by civil infrastructure in the regions of Ukraine and damaged energy facilities. The Russian blow caused a defect in the Poltava, Sumy and Chernihiv regions, without light over one hundred thousand households remained.

In addition, the invaders hit the drone in the Lyceum in the Kharkiv region and a high -rise building in Kherson, people were injured. The Dnipropetrovsk region also underwent Russian attack. On the night of August 27, a series of explosions thundered in Sumy, after a Russian attack on infrastructure facilities in the city there were interruptions with electricity and a fire was engaged.
