This is stated in the new report of the UK Defense Ministry, published on Saturday, August 26. According to the report, the Russian occupation forces seek to promote the west to the Oskil River in order to create a buffer zone around the Luhansk region. It is reported that British intelligence assumes possible increased intensity of offensive actions by Russia in the direction of Kupyansk-Lyman in the next two months.
Information from intelligence sources indicates that the counter -offensive on the part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine puts pressure on Russian troops in the Bakhmut area and in the south. However, the Western group of troops of the Russian Federation continues to carry out small attacks in the Kupyansk-Lyman region, where limited local advancements are carried out.
