The Armed Forces of Ukraine invented many

"Night -car", baits and trophies: As the Armed Forces are opposed to the occupiers - Business Insider

The Armed Forces of Ukraine invented many "chips" - from the installation of missile units on civilian cars to plastic drones that can be detonated. Regular attacks by Russia forced Ukraine to actively look for new approaches to combat the invaders. Together with the supply of military assistance from Western partners, Ukrainian military also show high agility and ingenuity in creating their methods of confrontation. About it reports Business Insider.

According to the publication, Ukrainian defenders have developed many innovative solutions, from the installation of missile systems on civilian pickups and ending with the creation of plastic drones armed with explosives. 9 such unique combat techniques were presented in the publication. One of the innovative inventions of the Armed Forces fighters is a homemade volley fire system based on civilian pickups.

Due to the mobility of these vehicles and the destructive capacity of the reactive shells, the military called them "donkey". Other vehicles are also equipped with different types of weapons. For example, one of the military units in Kupyansk has installed old anti-aircraft guns of the CS-19th time of the Soviet Union on civilian trucks.

In April 2022, Ukraine successfully tested its Neptune missile systems, which led to the drowning of the cruiser "Moscow", the main ship of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia. According to US retired US Army Ben Hodges, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have developed a highly efficient anti -ship system by installing it on a truck chassis to ensure mobility and movement.

Following the modernization of missiles, Ukraine began to use Neptune missiles for attacks in Crimea, which resulted in the destruction of several expensive S-400 air defense systems. Moscow cruiser is not the only ship of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia, which was liquidated by the Ukrainian military. Despite the lack of its own naval fleet, Ukraine was able to cause serious harm to almost a third of Russian warships.

The Armed Forces involved unmanned sea drones, which were officially called "sea kids" in attacks, to accurately and effectively attack Russian vessels and cause maximum harm to them. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also involved homemade drones collected on the basis of available and inexpensive FPV-punks created by enthusiasts. These devices have the ability to tolerate explosive charges attached to them with zippers and adhesive tape.

Although Ukrainian drones are distinguished by an inexpensive design and do not have the same level of technical advancedness as advanced ammunition for barration, they are still able to harm the occupiers because of the presence of RPG combat heads and plastic explosives. These aircraft can be used to conduct shocks to harm the enemy. The success of Ukrainian unmanned apparatus both in the aerial and maritime space has led to a real boom in Ukraine.

According to the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Mikhail Fedorov, about 200 companies have focused on the production of drones throughout the country. Last December, the volume of deliveries increased 50 times compared to 2023. Despite the significant increase in weapons production over the past year, Ukraine is still not enough. The country remains dependence on the weapons provided by the Allies, but also used and captured by the enemy arsenals.

Ukraine has received a considerable amount of Russian military equipment, including combat tanks, but often before use in combat, it is necessary to overhaul due to wear and tear. Moreover, the Armed Forces does not have access to the necessary spare parts, which complicates the maintenance of the combat capability of the equipment.

The Ukrainian military, similarly by the occupying troops, used improvised methods of protection, establishing the so -called "grilles" in an attempt to prevent attacks of unmanned aerial vehicles. However, the makeshift armor is often insufficient to protect against blows, which is a problem for both Ukrainian and Russian military. The Ukrainian military introduced innovative changes not only in the field of land weapons, but also on aircraft.

The MiG-29 fighters have installed AGM-88 HARM missiles designed to suppress radar systems. It has become a large -scale step in Ukrainian aviation. Initially, these Soviet aircraft did not maintain compatibility with any type of missiles of Western origin. General Gogess stressed in an interview with The Times that the modifications of aircraft are a striking example of the technical and tactical genius of the Ukrainian military.

"You can't just hang any rocket on any plane-a number of avionics and other aspects of flight and high-efficiency aircraft are involved here. And they did it," he said. In the desire to strengthen the possibilities of air defense, the Ukrainian military also made the "merger" of Western missiles land-air with the launchers of Soviet production. This program was described by American officials as Frankensam, in honor of the classic literary character of Frankenstein.

In order to strengthen Ukraine's defense capability and protect energy infrastructure and civilian population from possible aviation strikes from Russia in the winter, an impromptu system of air defense was developed. As part of this system, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have used the supply of AII-9 air-9 air-air missiles, which can also be used to damage targets on Earth in the Air Earth mode.

Despite the fact that actual weapons are useful and effective, the Armed Forces also resort to counterfeit means in order to mislead the occupiers. The use of butphone tanks reaches its roots of the First World War, and Ukraine continues this tradition by applying such lures. In this case, Russia also resorts to this tactic, but almost always unsuccessful.

Such tricks are becoming more complex due to the development of military technologies, in particular thermal imagers, which facilitate the identification of counterfeit objects. It is known that Ukraine even placed Himars missile installations made of wood to remove fire from true purposes. Recall that the platform of Ukrainian defense innovations Brave1 has announced the need to create effective solutions for intercepting Russian reconnaissance drones SuperCam, Zala and Orlan.
