China is preparing for a great war: as evidenced by mass construction of landing ships

The full -scale invasion of China in Taiwan can be expected in the near future. This conclusion is made by the David Ex liner in the column for The Telegraph, analyzing the creation of huge Chinese landing ships - you simply do not come up with another purpose. China builds special landing barges, the only interested purpose of which is the transfer of the technique of the People's Liberation Army to the Taiwanese coast within a full-scale invasion of Taiwan.

Naval News was the first to report these barges, as many as five of which are built on a shipyard in Guangzhou in southern China. According to Naval News, the barges whose construction will take a few months have been in development since 2022. They are a new and critical potential for Chinese forces. Simply put, barges connect ships to the shore-almost any ships.

Over the decades of the Navy, the Navy has created a significant amphibian flotilla, which includes eight landing docks of type 071 for the transfer of troops and cargoes, at least three landing ships of type 075 for the transportation Run and plant high -performance drones. All three types can also place landing ships.

Weighing 400,000 tons or so, it is the second largest amphibian force after the US Navy, but it is probably still too small to deliver enough troops and equipment to guarantee the pressure Taiwanese Strait under high fire. Some analysts believe that China needs to be thrown over the strait two million people to guarantee victory. A special amphibious flotilla of the NVAK can be able to transport 5000 or 6000 soldiers per thumping.

In order to strengthen its landing forces, the NVAK plans to use potentially hundreds of commercial ships, including automotive ferments, which, with some modifications, can be used as tank transport. Civil vessels can add another million tons to Chinese amphibian forces and about triple their capacity. The 2017 National Defense Transportation is ordered that China's entire transport infrastructure, including ships, is available for military use.

With the adoption of the law, the naval engineers began to modify key ships to make them the best assault vessels-in particular, to add recessed devices capable of withstanding the weight of armored vehicles. But strengthening the machinery does not solve the main problem. How can a car ferry come close enough to lower your device on land? The ferries are designed to be tied to the piers and lower their apparatus on concrete.

The NVAK could put into battle its civilian assault forces by capturing the Taiwanese port, but strongly constructed, which is strongly defended, heavy goals. It may be easier for Chinese to attack on a dozen or so Taiwanese beaches where a large number of troops and vehicles can be accommodated. New assault barges are the key to the connection of automobile ferries and other civilian vessels with the sand of the beach. Barge is, in fact, a floating pier.

It moves to the sand - one end is fixed on land and the other protrudes in the surf. The ferry can approach the barge, lower your ladder to its top and unload your cars. Thus, new Chinese barges have the same feature as the American military system Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore, or Jlots. Jlots, which is a set of floating, interconnected pierces, got into newspaper headlines when the US military tried - and mostly unsuccessful - to use this system to create a humanitarian pier in gas.

Bad weather and lack of safety on the shore have condemned this attempt to fail. As autonomous vessels, Chinese barges could be less vulnerable to the strong wind and the sea, but they will be equally vulnerable to hostile fire, as well as JLOTS. However, the loss of several barges will not lead to the failure of the Chinese invasion of Taiwan. These vessels are simple and the Chinese industry has already proven that it can build additional copies in a few months.

New barges are the last warning that the attack on Taiwan is probably inevitable. The Chinese with purposefulness, which should impress on leaders of other countries, armed for a devastating war of choice with a peaceful neighbor, whose only sin is that he is not part of China. If and when the invasion begins, barges can cause its success. The author expresses a personal opinion that may not coincide with the editorial position.
