Will collect planes, helicopters and UAVs: created a "smart" land drone

To spread: at IDEF 2025, Istanbul put an autonomous air defense system based on Gürz tracked platform from Aselsan. It should strengthen protection against air threats at low altitudes. Details reported Defense Industry Europe. According to the manufacturer, Gürz can operate under the remote control of the operator or autonomously, using a built -in artificial intelligence system.

The land drone should work on the front line of the front, knocking down helicopters, planes, rockets and UAV at a distance of up to 8 km. According to Army Recognition, the robotic complex is equipped with a hybrid weapons architecture that combines guns and rocket interceptors. Thanks to Heri̇kks and Haki̇M management systems, it can join the Turkish ABS network and coordinate work with other weapons.

Compared to outdated systems such as German Skyshildd or American Avenger, which require human teams and are often limited by one type of interception, Gürz provides more opportunities to intercept air goals. The AI should reduce the response time to the threat, as well as provide work even in the conditions of the means of radio electronic struggle, which can suppress communication with operators.

Gürz falls into the same category as the new Western systems, such as Skyranger 30 from RheinMetall, but with the possibility of integration into the current defense management structure. Aselsan also showed a powerful electromagnetic ejderha UAV, which has small drones neutralizing, affecting their electronic components. It was installed on a trailer for greater mobility. In February, Turkey launched a Gürz 150 air defense system.
