The occupiers claim that the "Night Witch" in one sortie in the direction of Zaporizhzhia bombed a base point and a point of temporary deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where at least four people were. The explosions were recorded on video, but it is impossible to determine whether they caused significant damage to Ukrainian troops. "Night Witch" is a heavy bomber hexacopter developed by the Russian group of companies "Groza".
The Russians claim that it can carry a combat load weighing up to 10 kg for a distance of up to 12 km and then return. Judging by the video, the operators used four mortar mines. In October, an official representative of "Groza" told the Russian news agency "TASS" that the "Night Witch" uses a reliable digital radio communication channel, which makes it possible to fly quite far - up to 20 km. The total carrying capacity is up to 20 kg (probably including the battery).
The developers say that the "Night Witch" can be used not only for bombing, but also for delivering goods and remote mining, for example, dropping TM-62 anti-tank mines on roads. "With the help of the device, logistics were established on the Dnipro islands in the SVO zone. "Night Witches" help to provide our infantrymen cut off from the mainland with everything they need," Groz said. "More than 50 Night Witch drones are produced every month. These devices are used in all directions.
" It was previously written that the "Night Witch" is considered an analogue of the Ukrainian "Baba Yaga" copters. As stated in Groza, the drone can conduct a video broadcast at a distance of up to 50 kilometers, has a cruising speed of 60 kilometers per hour, and the flight time is about 40 minutes with a load of 10 kg. The UAV is equipped with a camera with a thermal imager for operation at night, 10x optical zoom and 32x digital zoom.
