Ukrainian revenge: Four Russian helicopters destroyed with HIMARS - Forbes

Extend: Forbes reports that the blow has been applied with Himars cassette missiles. In March 2024, Russian artillery destroyed three Ukrainian assault helicopters Mi-8 and Mi-17. The Armed Forces were responded by the blow from the starting installation of the Himars Himars artillery system on four Russian helicopters, including two transport Mi-8 and two KA-52 combat, avenged for these losses. Forbes wrote about it on March 24.

The material states that in 37 months of fighting, Russia has lost about 120 helicopters, which is less than four units per month. Mondays was equal to the loss of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for a whole month.

It is reported that a blow to Russian helicopters in the Belgorod region was agreed with the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, where Ukrainian intelligence officers were observed by the landing of four Russian helicopters in Belgorod region with the help of the unmanned apparatus-two Mi-8 and two KA-52. It is noted that the blow was made with the help of a wheel starting of the Himars Ukrainian troops.

The publication reported that four M30 missiles, each of which had 180,000 tungsten fragments, fell 92 km. As a result, all four helicopters exploded. It should also be recalled that last year the cassette ammunition of the Russian production exploded over the helicopters of the 12th Brigade, damaging at least two of them and probably taking the lives of two pilots-Yaroslav Kawa and Andriy Bakun, and one helicopter of the Armed Forces was able to fly away in time.
