The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation intercept videos from the drones of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation: "Flash" told how dangerous the new system is (photo)

Share: A new Russian system to combat Ukrainian drones has been spotted at the front. It is assembled from civilian Chinese equipment and can either intercept video from drones or suppress it. Communications specialist Serhiy "Flash" Beskrestnov published pictures of the equipment. This is another example of how the Russians adapt foreign components for military needs, the expert reports in his Telegram channel. The basis of the device is a rotary mechanism from a Chinese searchlight.

Antennas are installed on it, which can rotate both horizontally and vertically. This makes it possible to precisely aim them at Ukrainian UAVs. It is known that the system is clearly designed to work with the video signal of drones. By appearance, it is impossible to determine its exact purpose. But both options pose a serious threat. In the video interception mode, the enemy will be able to see in real time the same as the UAV operator, receiving valuable intelligence information.

And in the case of suppression, the equipment "mutes" the video signal, creating obstacles and preventing the performance of combat missions. Beskrestnov also thanked the fighters of the "Gungnir" strike unit for the provided photos. Earlier, Focus reported that the enemy's UAVs were flying into the Ukrainian rear 50 km away. The Russian Armed Forces are improving their Lancet barrage munitions and increasing the distance they can fly. It is already about 50 kilometers from the front line.
