Consequences of war: As the Russian Federation provoked bankruptcy of agro -enterprises in Ukraine

The agriculture of Ukraine is left without a large number of enterprises due to a full -scale war, but still in this area there are preconditions for the restoration of pre -war production volumes. According to the results of 2022, the number of existing enterprises in the field of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in Ukraine decreased from 51. 8 thousand to 35. 6 thousand. This is the greatest decline since 2012, the press service of the National Scientific Center "Institute of Agrarian Economics".

According to the state structure, the number of crop enterprises - the cultivation of annual and two -year crops - decreased in 2022 from 40. 6 thousand to 28 thousand. There were less companies that grown perennial crops - from 1. 6 thousand to 1. 1 thousand. The number of livestock enterprises (3. 7 thousand enterprises) decreased to 2. 6 thousand, and only 616 (instead of almost a thousand) remained with mixed agriculture.

Regarding the sub -sectors, the largest losses are recorded among rice growing companies. The institute noted that there are only eight, as well as: "Agriculture of Ukraine has lost a significant number of enterprises, but still retains a fairly powerful entrepreneurial potential for restoring pre -war production volumes," the statement said. At the same time, the number of individuals-entrepreneurs in the agroindustrial complex, there is also a decline, and in almost all areas of activity.

However, FOPs have closed their business somewhat less often, even in spite of the war. Yes, their number from 2022 decreased by only 11-15%. At the same time, new companies grow berries, nuts and other fruit trees and shrubs. In this area, growth was up to 387 people (+2. 4%), and in the sphere of spicy, aromatic and medicinal plants - up to 58 people (+3. 6%).
