CB-CM is a mobile complex mounted on an armored machine with a 6x6 wheel formula (perhaps on the basis of "Urals 4320" or 6370). The system includes 14 transport and powerful containers for, probably, CU-2E bargage ammunition and two containers for reconnaissance drones. All elements of the system are triggered by a gas -dynamic way, ensuring the safety and simplification of logistics. The developers focused on multifunctionality.
Controlled ammunition, equipped with a multifactorial combat part, are designed to defeat various purposes. These can be both easily armored machines and air defense systems, command points and airfields. The reconnaissance drones that are part of the complex perform the tasks of observation, area exploration and data transmission between ammunition and the management station. According to the developers, the CB-CM is designated for work in all conditions.
He is able to perform combat missions in difficult terrain, in adverse weather and even in the wind with gusts up to 15 m/s. In doing so, it remains mobile, which allows you to move quickly between positions, minimizing the risk of detection. According to Army Recognition Operators, the Cup-CM has become a logical continuation of the concept of using drones in swarm format. Earlier, Kalashnikov's concern developed a prototype of the Lacet UAV System, which allowed up to 64 drones.
The new system continues to develop this approach, combining shock and intelligence functions. Analysts also noted that the Russian decision was not new. In the West, similar systems are actively developing. For example, in the US, they develop a Locust program capable of deploying up to 31 drones in 40 seconds, as well as Air-Launchened Effects initiative for dropping drones. China also demonstrated launchers for drones-Kamikadze at Dongfeng and Faw MV3 cars.
