Russia again postponed the timing of the Donbass capture - the General Staff

Putin hopes to fully establish control of the Donetsk region until the second half of September to have time to hold a pseudo -referendum. In connection with the military failures in the Donbass, the Kremlin has set a new date to the Russian military, to which they should reach the administrative borders of Donetsk region. This was announced by the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Office of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces Alexei Gromov during a briefing on September 1.

"Russian occupation troops again adjust their plans and actions in accordance with Putin's order to enter the administrative borders of Donetsk region by September 15," Gromov said. According to him, as of today, the enemy continues to keep the occupied districts of Kharkiv, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, as well as trying to create conditions for renewal of the offensive.

At the end of May, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to occupy the Donetsk region by July 1. Already at the beginning of the summer, experts of the Institute of War Study have questioned the realism of such plans of the Kremlin. Analysts of the Institute of War Study have reached the following conclusions: the offensive on Slavyansk from the southeast of Izium and west of the estuary goes slowly.

The achievement of success there in the near future is unlikely, since the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have been put on the priority of taking Severodonetsk to the detriment of other directions. At the end of July, the so -called First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Information "DNR" Danilo Bessonov, speaking on a live broadcast of propagandist Vladimir Solovyov, told about plans to fully occupy the Donetsk region by the end of the summer.

The date of capture of the Donetsk region was heard against the backdrop of reports on referendums in the occupied territories of Ukraine on September 11. At the end of August, the journalists of the Russian media "Medusa" published insider information that the Kremlin could postpone "referendums" on the accession of the occupied territories of Ukraine planned for September 11.

This is due to the failures of the Russian army on the front, probably the invaders will not be able to capture the whole territory of Donetsk region by this date, as they planned. Recall that the Kremlin wants to capture all the Donbas before the beginning of winter. Putin will not be ready for an agreement with Ukraine until the Russian troops capture the entire Donetsk region, says the Moscow source.
