Elena Zelenskaya: The war selected a year of healthy full nutrition in our children

The purpose of the session was to develop a draft strategy for reforming the school nutrition system and attracting foreign investments in the development and restoration of educational institutions. Work on the preparation of the strategy began last year in January and was interrupted by a Russian invasion.

Participants of the event - representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ministry of Community and Territories, the State Consumer Service, the AMCU, the SE "Prozorro", other state institutions, public organizations, international donors - they discussed the draft strategy.

In this case, we can say that she has selected a year of healthy good nutrition in our children. If it were not for the Russian attack, we probably would have been talking about achievements, growth and change today.

But now our achievement is that despite the war and all the trials we are going to continue, ”the first lady said, opening the session. Elena Zelenskaya stressed that school nutrition reform was again on time. According to her, now it is not only about the menu and nutrition, but also about care. "This is exactly what gives you the strength of all of us during the invasion," she added.

The meeting presented four directions of further work: - organization of quality food (purchase and financing); - restoration and modernization of food blocks, implementation and observance of the HACCP system; - development of personnel potential; - formation of a culture of healthy nutrition, introduction of new norms and menu.

The president's wife thanked the representatives of the central executive bodies, state institutions, partnership organizations of the reform, the organizers of the session, donors for involvement, active position and hard work. The first lady also expressed his gratitude to the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine, personally Ambassadoring the Winuda Claude and the Ukrainian-Swiss DECIDE project for supporting the reform and organizational support of a strategic session.
