The Armed Forces began an attack on the Left Bank and created a bridgehead: ISW called the cause of the hydroelectric power station

Military analysts have called the possible cause of the hydroelectric power station. A few days before the rolling of the dam in the Kherson area, active clashes of the Armed Forces and Russian troops continued, and the number of Ukrainian boats increased in the Dnieper Delta.

Before destroying Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, there was a confidence in the Russian military information space that the Armed Forces were already forcing the Dnieper, trying to cross the left bank, or that such a transition is inevitable in the near future. This was reported in the summary of the Institute of War Research on June 7.

The officials of Ukraine continue to blame Russian troops of deliberately destroying the Kakhovsky dam due to fears of the Ukrainian counter -offensive on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region. Military researchers refer to a statement by Gur Andriy Yusov's representative, according to which, if you take into account the structural and engineering features of the structure, then the conclusion is one: only the Russians could undermine the dam.

He noted that the Russian troops were very pleased, which flooded the islands that housed the Ukrainian forces. Representatives of Ukraine also noted that the Russians did not take into account the consequences of the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station for their troops and were too afraid of the Armed Forces.

The day before the destruction of hydroelectric power plants and repeatedly in the past, Russian sources expressed concern that the Armed Forces could cross the river and end up on the left bank. One of the so -called The militarys argued that as of June 5, in the Dach area on the left bank of the Dnieper, 11 km southwest of Kherson, as well as near the city, active clashes of the Armed Forces and Russian troops continued. The Dnipro Delta has increased Ukrainian boats.

Another source suggested that the Ukrainian military tried to create a bridgehead through the capture of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. ISW analysts do not claim that the Ukrainian forces have tried to cross the river and why they could do it. Before the dam was destroyed, in the Russian military information space there was a confidence that the Armed Forces were already crossing the Dnieper or such a transition was inevitable in the near future.
