It is noted that the Russians are creating an atmosphere of fear and apprehension for the stay of Ukrainians on the territory of Poland, destroying positive emotional relations between Poland and Ukraine and inciting anti-Ukrainian sentiments.
"These actions are divided into kinetic events (burning of Ukrainian cars, hiding of anti-war murals) and intensive narrative activity on the Internet - on portals and accounts of persons who promote sentiments of hatred towards Ukraine," the message reads. The growth of anti-Ukrainian sentiments is observed in places where there are hubs of assistance for the transfer of weapons or support for Ukraine: for example, Gdynia, Gdansk.
The Polish Armed Forces emphasized that Russian actions present Ukrainians as a greater threat to Poland than Russia, and the goal is to force Polish citizens to put pressure on their own government to make decisions that contradict state policy. The Polish Ministry of Defense also explained how to protect yourself from artificially created fear: We will remind you that at the end of October it became known that Poland is drastically tightening the rules for Ukrainian refugees.
