To extend: Ukraine first showed its latest winged lace rocket FP-5 Flamingo, developed by Fire Point with the participation of Milan. These weapons have become the most long -range Ukrainian means of destruction and, according to experts, can significantly change the strategic balance in the war with the Russian Federation. The emergence of the rocket became known on August 17, after which in the circles of specialists began to find out the details and technical characteristics of these weapons.

Among them is the military analyst H. I. Sutton, who published his review on FP-5 on August 19. According to his information, Flamingo has a range of up to 3000 km, which is about a thousand kilometers exceeds the possibility of Ukrainian long-range drones-Kamikadze. In addition, its warhead weighing up to 1000 kg is more powerful than drones, which allows to affect large industrial and military facilities, including drones and infrastructure.

The technical characteristics of the FP-5 make it a full rocket wing. The device 12-14 meters long with a wing of 6 m is equipped with a turbojet engine, accelerates up to 950 km/h and is able to be in flight up to 4 hours. The launch is made from a mobile launcher based on a truck using a solid fuel accelerator. Navigation includes GPS/GNSS with interference protection and INS.

The similarity with the Soviet drones-reconnaissance Tu-141 and Tu-143, which Ukraine has previously processed on winged missiles, experts consider the superficial: "Flamingo" is a new development, optimized for mass production. H. I. Sutton emphasizes that since the invasion of Russia in 2022 Ukraine actively creates long -range means of damage. And in his opinion, the winged FP-5 rocket can become a key tool for strategic harm to Russian military and energy infrastructure.
