Dmitry Klimenkov reported that the defense department is working to ensure that bulletproof vests, helmets, tactical equipment, clothing and food supplied by the Ukrainian military were manufactured in Ukraine. The official also stressed that the main criterion remains the quality and competitive price. The Defense Ministry noted that a meeting with Ukrainian businessmen whose companies are engaged in the supply of goods for the military were initiated for this purpose.
It is reported that businessmen have expressed their willingness to fully assume the rear needs of the Armed Forces. The meeting also discussed the formats of business cooperation with the state, for which businesses could plan expenses for the order of the Ministry of Defense.
The Ukrainian defense department noted that next year to provide military clothing, food, fuel and lubricants, bulletproof vests, helmets and tactical equipment will be engaged in the "Procurement Agency in the field of defense". We will remind, on November 10 the People's Deputies of Ukraine approved the budget for 2024. It provides 1 165. 05 billion hryvnias for defense equal to 15. 2% of Ukraine's GDP.
