The Armed Forces planned to regain control of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station before the blast - a military expert

According to Thomas Tayner, the Ukrainian military was preparing surgery with the participation of special forces, paratroopers and Marines. After undermining, the plans had to be postponed. The Armed Forces of Ukraine could prepare an operation on the return of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. This was stated in an interview with Bild by Italian military expert Thomas Tainer on June 6.

According to him, in the near future an operation was to take place, preparation of which special forces, paratroopers, marine infantry and other fighters. Use when returning Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plants, as the expert notes further, they had maritime transport and rifles. This would allow the Armed Forces to be guaranteed that Russian invaders will not undermine the dam to wash away the pontoon crossings that should be used in the counter -offensive through the Dnieper.

The undermining of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station by Russian invaders will significantly complicate the creation of pontoon crossings, because everything went under water. "The current is raging, and all the places where it is possible to put pontons can now underwater. As a result of existing pontoon blocks, it is not enough to lay the bridge across the river. So far, this flank of Russians is protected from the Ukrainian attack," the statement reads.

Thomas Tainer also stressed that the delay for the Armed Forces of Ukraine ranges from one to two weeks. During this time, they have to explore new piers for pontoon bridges. The information is not confirmed by the Armed Forces Staff, so it is not official. We will remind, on June 6 to the Ministry of Defense answered, for which the Russian Federation undermined the Kakhovsk hydroelectric power station.
