The parent company mobile operator noted that financial losses were caused by measures to compensate for clients inconvenience. As a result of a large -scale hacker attack on December 12, the parent company of Ukrainian mobile operator "Kyivstar" VEON suffered losses for over UAH 3 billion. As it became known, the cause was a hacker attack on the core of the network. A day after a hacker attack, mobile operator clients began to report work restoration.

The company stated that more than 95% of the base stations of mobile communications in the territory controlled by Ukraine work.
