As it became known, the cause was a hacker attack on the core of the network. A day after a hacker attack, mobile operator clients began to report work restoration.
In addition, on December 15 it became known that the mobile Internet "Kyivstar" worked, but not everywhere. The company stated that more than 95% of the base stations of mobile communications in the territory controlled by Ukraine work. In the morning of December 20, the Ukrainians again began to complain about the lack of communication and failure of some functions "Kyivstar".
