Camel is more important than MIC engineer? Which employees can book from service in the Armed Forces

The government believes that camel, growing sugar cane, tobacco and citrus fruits are critical activities during the war. The employees of the said areas are subject to booking on a par with the enterprises of the defense. Focus spoke with MPs and economists and found out whether the plans of the Cabinet of Ministers meet. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to update a list of critical types of activities important to the economy and security of the country during martial law.

The full list was published by the People's Deputy from "European Solidarity" Alexei Goncharenko. From the content of the document, we can conclude that the government seriously considers camel, growing sugar cane, tobacco and citrus, very important industries in wartime. "It does not look ridiculous, but absolutely absurd. Breeding camels or the production of series is now economically important than those who provide our GDP and the ability to wage war?" - Goncharenko asks questions.

Hunting and forestry are included in the list of activities. But there are really necessary at any time of the sphere: cultivation of cereals, breeding cattle-everything related to agriculture and animal husbandry. The list includes publishing books and magazines, radio and telemunciation, film industry, and providing various information services. It should be noted that employees are strategically important for Ukraine of activities of activity.

Goncharenko received a new list of industries from his sources, the list is really in plan and is being approved, he said in a conversation with focus. "All the examples above are considered seriously. Companies engaged in these activities will get the right to book some of the employees. This is not the final option, and other activities can be introduced into the document," Goncharenko says.

However, the People's Deputy from the Servant of the People, a member of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Fedor Venislavsky says that he did not see new criteria. The agreements with the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Economy provide for the prohibition of publications of the new booking and spheres of activity. "The list must be available after we adopted a law [Venislavsky implies the Parliament considered by the draft law on mobilization-ed. ].

There is no point in lists, "he explained the focus. The criteria by which enterprises, institutions and organizations are referred to as critically important for the life of the country, reflected in the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 76. Business should meet at least three of the requirements: According to the head of the Center for Analysis and Strategies, Igor Chalenko's expert, it is about expanding the booking criteria. for private sector enterprises.

Defense enterprises and industry receive a reservation without a queue. "To accurately evaluate the importance of the activities of camels, grape producers and citrus fruits in wartime - a task is not easy. Somewhere in Ukraine an enterprise of this type may be" community -forming ", the only taxpayer in the territorial community. I am not sure that the organization will fulfill other criteria," The expert notes.

Breeding camels, growing tobacco and citrus fruits are clearly not critical spheres during the war. Even in peacetime, few people were engaged in such business in Ukraine, the head of the Nova Ukraine Charitable Foundation, economist Andriy Novak, emphasizes. "Apparently, someone has decided to joke about the topic of reservation? Vineyards - more clearly than camels, but how important it is. The focus specialist comments.

Painting, plastering and other construction work given in the Cabinet list may not seem to be the most important areas, but there is a problem: who will restore the destroyed infrastructure and housing stock after Russian shelling, if the builders do not book? "The question of finding a balance between the needs of the army and civilian life. I will remind that it is the civil sector that funds the army," Novak summarizes.
